    Pot Luck Grid!

    Only 3 Reds: New Sliding Billy Hamilton, Reggie Sanders, and Bug Holliday.

    Good name day:
    Biff! Bobo! Bug! LaCock!

    Wathan is the only C with a 30 SB season! Gary Scott was a big 3B prospect who didn’t work out. Wasn’t expecting Rod Carew to be such a popular pick, but I probably should have.

    Cheers!

      @ArthurCopeland4

      In an Arizona Fall League game one year I saw Billy Hamilton score from 1B on a fly ball to RF, and also steal home on the catcher throwing back to the pitcher after a pitch. I also got his autograph before the game. Insane speed.

        From first? Bad relay/throw? Oh so many questions

          @beisbolcards

          Mostly extreme speed. RF threw the ball in to 3B and Hamilton was already rounding the base by the time it got there and made it to home in time to beat the throw from 3B. It was incredible.

            @mattmaison @beisbolcards

            He was so fast, but the old saying “you can’t steal first base” definitely applied. Lifetime OBP of .292.

            Never led the league in steals, but finished 2nd in 4 straight years (2014-17)—3 times to Dee Strange-Gordon and once to Jonathan Villar (2016).

            But again, just unbelievably fast. So fun to watch on the bases.
