Ok but why do they look like termites?

@gloriouscow @futurebird Not to be That Nerd (tm), but during this era, each individual lump of red kryptonite had a different consistent effect, but would only affect a given kryptonian once, and the effect would wear off after like 48 hours.
So he could only make his head into an ant a single time with a given lump of red kryptonite, and every lump of red kryptonite had a different, random effect.
@UnlikelyLass @futurebird he got this particular ant head by flying through a cloud of red kryptpnite dust in space

@gloriouscow @futurebird "Comics, everybody!"
I love this for him.

@UnlikelyLass @futurebird the same cloud turned Krypto into a collie, from which Superman somehow extrapolated that it would turn you into whatever you were thinking about.
But lumps are very different from clouds, to be fair.
I love that going somewhere in space is like a trip to the corner store for Supes.

Why would Krypto want to be a collie? Poor dog is fine the way he is!

Krypto is a mutt. He is an American dog. I really dislike the idea that the poor puppy has let those purebreds get in his head like that.
