Apparently one of the things driving the whole bathroom with no tub "trend" are tall people who do not fit in them so the tall people just get rid of the tub and have only a shower.

Excuse you I was swimming in there.
Tall people must be stopped.
Grab their knees!
Tall people have already ruined kitchens by putting everything up too high and then you forget it even exists.

@futurebird my husband can see the top of the fridge. Without a chair, without a step stool, without hopping on tippy toes.. it’s just weird!

@totalclaireity @futurebird the bathtub thing alone is a wish akin to wanting to ride a unicorn.
The whole world is built with small people in mind. Can’t even ride the bus without feeling like a canned sardine. Let us at least have proper showers. -

I guess the design challenge is to have a 5' person and a 6' giant use your space and both like it?
I find the rails on the bus and train too high up to hold without feeling like my arm is going to come off.

It's perfectly natural, and you know what?
On average, we die about 5 years younger than you all, so schedule renovations accordingly
I swear, short people making mountains out of molehills

I'm about to make some mountains into molehills if my husband hides anything else on the high shelf from me.

@futurebird Tall person Julia Child tried to start a trend of kitchen cabinets being on legs so you could adjust them. Sadly, she did not succeed so many kitchens have counters that make tall people’s backs hurt while also being too high for others. The tyranny of the middle of the bell curve must be stopped!

@futurebird as someone who is just over average height I would far rather have things higher and need to stand on a step, than have to do things on a counter that was too low. Having to bend over to do stuff is really hard on the back.

OK fine. I'll bite. What is this "bending over" people keep going on about?
