      I used to know someone who would stake out a sunny spot where bumblebees came to warm up on cold mornings and (very carefully) pet with a finger all the bumblebees who came .

      (they said they never got stung. hm. )

        @llewelly You can pet them when they are cold. It’s hard to resist.
