@futurebird Communism? To offer tourists and locals the opportunity denied to nonshoppers? Some stores have restrooms for their shoppers but folks with housing difficulties and people just popping around looking

There are a couple of playgrounds here which do have bathrooms but whether or not they are open is pretty hit and miss.
A friend had to take their daughter to the nearest bar to use the bathroom to make sure she didn't have an accident in early potty training days.
Luckily it's the kind of neighborhood place which is very ok with that but having to leave the playground to go to a bar for that is not a sign of a healthy city.

My town used to have public restrooms at a bunch of parks, but it shut them all down over the years. And people now complain there’s nowhere to go unless you go to a store or go home.
Seems like a great public service.
