@futurebird @floatybirb If you're a wealthy recluse who's masterminded an elaborate cross-country treasure hunt for your friends, enemies, and potential heirs, of course.

@liferstate @futurebird there should be one of those airplane magazines that tries to sell expensive nonsense, but all the expensive nonsense would only ever be used by wealthy recluses who need to plan elaborate cross-country treasure hunts.

                  Notice To Our Valued Customers:

Due to Changing Times, and Popular Sentiment we have stopped using "deadly" poison in our famous cakes, little "drink me" bottles and gummies. Our new modern formulation will merely cause an inconvenient sleeping period. We understand the disappointment this may cause to our more traditional patrons.

I always considered it to be be a very ominous quote since it's what the Walrus says to the oysters just before cooking and eating them.

"So when will the fun you promised begin"

"well... it's about to begin for me... let me explain... in a round about way..."

I like wax seals and I'm always looking for excuses to use them. So, when I noticed that a few of the places that sell seals and wax are now offering numbered wax seals... well what are these used for?

They are even selling the tacky "peel and stick" variety which means people are really using them for something... but what?

The sets may include metal seals in the numbers 1-10 or 11-20 etc up to 100.

                      1-10 is most popular.

Well normally wax is used to seal an envelope closed, or as a kind of signature for a contract or formal letter.

@futurebird I know, I have one. I thought someone was selling the little token-sized wax bits in the image, not the metal seals that would create them.

They are selling both, so you can do the seals yourself, or, if you don't want to mess with wax just use the sticker versions.
