Sorry, I don't watch many Bucks games, so I am wondering: is Thanasis actually capable of playing at an NBA level or is he just there for Giannis to get a better than max contract? 1 point, .5 points, .5 assists in 5 minutes is not that impressive.

They do play him and he’s actually decent on defense so it’s typically at the end of quarters for defensive coverage. Definitely benefits from being Gianni’s brother though. Without Giannis I’d guess he’d be like a two way g league player, maybe end of bench when he was younger and a team wanted to take a flyer. Giannis has said it helps him play better having his brother there so realistically even if having his brother there only makes Giannis play 1% better that’s still way more contribution to the team than your average 15th roster spot guy.
