Leaving angry voicemails with my Senators and Congressman totally playing the "I am a SMALL BUSINESS OWNER whose clients rely on federal grants and this federal grant pause will NEGATIVELY IMPACT my clients and my business and ability to make a living" My Republican Senators either did not have functional voicemail boxes (Husted) or every single number I dialed (three for Moreno) I got a voicemail. Shout out to my Dem Congressman (Landsman) whose local office had a real person take my message. She said they had received numerous calls about it and were expecting several more. I noted the specific agencies that I am most concerned about (NEH and IMLS) and gave my name, business name, and phone number. I hate to use the economic argument but if there's ever a time to play the I AM A SMALL BUSINESS OWNER card, this is it y'all.
