    @dyckron

    I find this much more alarming than the white house being torn down!

    1. We need to know who did this.
    2. If it can't be undone, they must NOT be paid back, as that would make it a loan eg. a ROUGE BONDS in our government. I don't care if it is zero percent.
    3. The troops should be paid twice if they can't reverse it. Eg. when the government starts (if? ugh) pay them again, this doesn't count. Sue for it. Get it twice.

    There isn't enough fuss in the world to make the size of a fuss that needs to be made over this.

      If the people don't pay the troops they are not the troops of the people anymore.

        I agree with your concern, but a well made point is that $130 million would cover 2% of troops’ paychecks. Or as another person put it, $45 per member. So it’s just more of the usual BS.

        Charlotte Clymer (@charlotteclymer@mastodon.social)

        The U.S. military spends about $7.5 billion total on paychecks for service members every two weeks. The supposed $130 million the Trump admin claims was anonymously donated for military pay would cover about two percent of that.

              OK that is a good point I forget how big the government and military are.

              But I still say NO NO NO no rouge bonds, and this doesn't even count.

                      The actual guy.

                      Fun fact: this guy's oil barron grandfather was Sec of Treasury in Hoover's administration.
