Bronx kids ride three on a citibike to this day, much to the consternation of the local constabulary.

I think it's mostly become nicer without really ever gentrifying since I've been here for the past 18 years or so.
It's still very poor, but there are more people than ever, but it's also very friendly and safe all things considered.
Like most of NYC everyone is very ambitious and always up to something "big"
