Just found this bit of baseball doggerel I wrote back in 2021:

HALL OF MARLINS:

There are six Marlins in the Hall of Fame,
But their Miami links are sadly lame.

They traded Hoffman and fired Doggie,
Trolled for ex-stars both old and/or groggy.

Over forty and slow? That was Raines, “Rock.”
And come to think of it, so was the Hawk.

A year of Pudge and a week of Piazza?
For Hall of Famers, that’s not a lotsa.

So when thinking of the Miami Nine,
This Florida fan will say, “Jeff Conine.”
