I have been searching high and low for a new congress person. It's not going well. And I think the problem is obvious.
The kind of congress person I want would need to live on their congressional salary of $174k which seem like a lot, until you remember that this person would be:
* A harassed public figure with security needs
* Need to maintain two residences in DC and the Bronx
* Have to be around other congresspersons at their work. -

No wonder they all take so much cash from lobbyists.
Our congressional district is poor. In fact it's the poorest in the country. No one is giving any politician thousands of dollars in donations.
Hence our representation sucks.
We need a real public servant.
I will defend your honor on the internet if you come and save us please.

I don't think so. These things don't come up much since most of them do not live on that salary at all.

unserious suggestion that could backfire:add "beer" to the end of your "congressional draft" sign to attract more attention. Then put "well, actually no, but I had to get your attention somehow" on the other side of the sign.
