    Meh Grid, but interesting piece of info.

    Midre Cummings hit .303 for the Phillies in 1997. And YES, the grid accepts him. BUT! He only hit .264 overall in 1997, because he stunk (.189) with the Pirates before the Phillies claimed him off waivers. Also he was a Red in Spring Training 1998, after the Phillies released him.

    Point is, partial seasons work.

        @ArthurCopeland4

        Ha, I was curious about that one. Now I wonder if it works the opposite, Boston in this case (guessing no).

        Completely forgot about Mitchell and my wildcard Treviño - played with everyone in the old west except the Padres.

          @seaks

          Midre was strangely good in Philly. ‘97 was the year I moved to Philly, first time I lived anywhere near a MLB city. Went to a bunch of games!

          Phillies were so bad that you could buy a pack of hot dogs (Hatfield Phillie Phranks!) and get a coupon for an upper deck bleacher seat at the Vet. Yes, please!

            @beisbolcards

            Treviño comes in very handy, but again that horrible 1982 Reds team is seared into my brain. Ugh.
