    A special convention for people who have told an "and then everyone clapped" story on the internet, and everyone laughed at them and said it was fake.... BUT this is a convention for people who were telling a story that was TRUE.

    I was there and I won the award of the convention for this story I'm telling now.

    And everyone clapped.

      I was there, and I clapped. But sarcastically.

        @david_chisnall

        But then a big strong Navy Seal burst through the door and he pointed at you and said "you stop that, David. That is not supportive"

        And David and the Navy Seal both cried and learned a lesson and didn't clap so meanly anymore at the very true and real story.

          @futurebird

          I had an honest-to-god Internet Girlfriend in 1994. And she lived in Canada. You wouldn’t know her.

          Literally *nobody* believed me.
