 border states have shifted from aligning with American savings time (due to business interests) or with the rest of states.So you get used to living in the chaos asking yourself if MX City is now one hour ahead or two and also if the change happens in California on the same day or a couple of weeks apart.

Hear me out: one global time zone, then everyone makes their own local decision when stuff starts. Does it matter if your work morning begins in daylight at 2 a.m. if you've had 8 hours sleep in darkness? I think not. Next we'll make Americans use metric and Celsius.
