I would not have made the trip to Washington if I was Carney. This reaks of a setup. He could've opened negotiations from Canada. Now he looks like he's rushed off to kiss the ring right after winning the election. I hope I'm wrong but I sense danger. #ElbowsUp #canadianpolitics

At minimum, Carney should have insisted on no post-meeting WH presser. I'd have much preferred if he had left this for a few weeks for a home turf meeting during the G7, FWIW.
