@Tendar I'm happy for the Venuzaelan people and their prospects for change and hopefully lasting democracy and peace. However I don't support the operation and the US throwing out rule of law.

I don't think this being "for the better" is very likely at all.

And I'm starting to wonder if there is some tacit deal where we will find in some five years nothing has changed from the standpoint of anyone who isn't very very wealthy.

There was something so ... calm about it all. Expecting Maduro will end up under "house arrest" with few worries in life. And someone similar to him, but more agreeable to US business interests will take over.
