The lap doesn't exist until the human is sitting??
She tries to get on my lap *as* I'm trying to sit and it's just... it's chaos. And then she's upset and I'm in a bad position because she didn't let me fix my legs and now I can't move... this is a catastrophe.

About 30 seconds? I just want to smooth the blanket out and ... well now there is a cat.

Her name is about her small size. Happily she doesn't chew on things ... other than my ear and hand....

I wish I could teach Harry that he can't be in my lap if I have a plate of food in my lap. He is, as of yet, undeterred by such.
This has unfortunately introduced both him and my carpet to a variety of sauces.

OK but #picaTheCat says that if there is food in the lap that is an "automatic benefit" and "possible new resource to be mined" and she thinks he's being very logical.
