There is something deeply sad about a guy, however horrible thinking that something so plain ... commonplace and part of most of our daily lives has been "taken from him"

This is a real window into... something. Don't know if I like what I see going on in there.

Dude is so sad he can't even perceive the comfort of being home. Wow.

And this is OUR fault. Very disturbing.

Its kinda scary when their urge to self-victimize becomes this non-sensical.

How are you supposed to build common ground in such cases?

@futurebird can't say I've seen many homes with a (heater?) vent right in the middle of the living room floor? In practically all my experience, they're near the edges of rooms. Beyond that, I'd say 95% of the homes and apartments I've seen the inside of in the last quarter century have looked more or less like this. The major exception has been my own places, which differ mainly in that I've spent most of my adult life with considerably less furniture, and I never put up fridge magnets.
