    "Jeffrey Epstein, the guy who never dies"

    (tl;dr someone hacked former Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak’s private emails and published all of his communications with Epstein (and everyone else he ever emailed))

    Inside Jeffrey Epstein’s spy industry connections

    Leaked emails show Epstein’s attempts to dabble in security tech—across borders—in the last years of his life.

      @cryptadamist

      There's Peter Thiel in this. Seems like in 2014 Epstein was close enough to Peter that people looked to Epstein to get set up for a Thiel playdate.

      What a hack. How is the opsec of these people so terrible?

      (I apologize for it being reason magazine.)

      so much pimping... good lordt

          No seriously.
          It really looks sloppy that this even happened to "smart guys" (never really bought that, but I thought they'd at least do what was needed to fake it.)

              @futurebird there's good reporters at both NYT and reason. tbh reason might have a much higher % of actually good investigative reporters because a) they are operating outside of the circle jerk that is the conversations mainstream media people have with each other and b) they're libertarian politics mean they like digging up dirt.

                  Hilariously I had a subscription to "Reason" when I was in HS because this odd libertarian was always showing up at our school and giving us Atlas Shrugged and weird political pamphlets.

                  I remember reading one day and thinking "This 'Atheist Magazine' is Messed up." I was like 16

                  (He told me it was a cool Atheist Magazine and so I would read it to annoy my mom. )

                                OMG a bunch of the emails are about their investments in surveillance companies. Wow. Having all your emails leaked makes me think that all that data will be *so* safe and not passed around the dark web and pastebins till then end of time.

                                Not only does Peter Thiel want to scan your face and keep track of where you go, but he'll probably let that get hacked and used by ... anyone. Or sold to the highest bidder.

                                Wicked and incompetent.
