When you try to solve a problem but ignore the obvious solution everyone just starts reading things off of their wish list of things they always wanted to do anyway. In this case it's some kind of call to either kill or otherwise silence "the left."
If I can't get fewer guns I guess I'll go for "Build a center in every city where people can study insects."
