    Any investors with a K and a Jr. somewhere in their name?

    @GGMcBG

    It's not even a particular compound or brand... just vials of "stuff" they do not explain that clearly is meant to be rebranded and sold as fake ozempic or whatever.

      @futurebird

      It's madness.
      I went to AliX once to peruse after seeing a sweet Pizza Hut glass lamp for $50.
      Didn't get the lamp, haven't been back.
      Is it really just a below-radar international clearing-house for absolutely any bootleg trash until it's deemed too-noticeably illegal? That's always the vibe I get reading about it.

        I'm actually a huge fan of aliexpress for somethings. You are always buying from the particular person who sells the thing and there are some good little shops.

        However there is also... well this.

          I don't know what this is but it seems very bad it's being sold on aliexpress for $18 These are... vials for injecting a drug.

          There are many similar products, and you can even get them custom with logos of your choice!

          What's in them? Oh you know "Weight loss peptide" (???)

          Kinda seems like maybe this shouldn't be sold ... anywhere? This is where people are getting these fake drugs in bulk.

          With the tariff on drugs coming what could go wrong?

          Is there any way to report this?

          @futurebird They are drugs like Wegovy and Ozempic (semaglutide), Saxenda (liraglutide), and Zepbound (tirzepatide).

          "Weight loss peptides are synthetic or naturally derived short amino acid chains that mimic hormones to help regulate appetite and metabolism, potentially increasing fat burning and muscle mass"

          The Truth About Wegovy and Weight Loss?

          Peptides like Wegovy, Saxenda, and Zepbound were originally created to help treat type 2 diabetes, but many people also notice weight loss effects.

            I don't see how it could be those drugs when they need to be stored and shipped cold.

              @futurebird @paul yeah it won't be. And even if it were 'just' water, that's a danger both to people buying it for themselves (injection itself carries risks) and customers buying it unaware from grifters.
              This is a widespread problem, unfortunately.

                Probably not illegal to sell these ... props. But it's very obvious the intended use, and their ideal customer, is someone who is selling fake drugs. Possibly sketchy weight loss "clinics" who might sell one-off injections of things they claim to be name brand drungs... possibly online sellers who will push this stuff out to the desperate.

                And maybe that's who I could tell about this. Drug companies. They are wicked and powerful.

                I can learn to think in this new economy.

                  @futurebird @noodlemaz @paul Online grey market peptide sales are a massive business and dangerous for consumers. Most who get into it either don’t know what they’re doing, or are putting other folks in danger rather than themselves (ie not for personal use).

                  Also they’re sometimes fronts for hard drug precursors pretending to be a peptide shop.

                          @helianthropy

                          "color" is just the default category the aliexpress database offers sellers for selling variations of a product.

                          They can change it to be whatever they want, eg "size" or "type" whatever.

                          But often they don't bother to change it if they post the listing in a hurry. This is just another sign of the seller of the ***inject-able medical product*** being sloppy.

                          And not even the worst sign IMO.
