I used to have really nice kid-century furniture, but it got destroyed by movers when going from Detroit to Chicago, so I just sort of gave up on nice things since I move a lot. But the sturdy little metal doodads have survived, so I'm happy to lug them along with me. I also have a lot of cool vintage projectors (both slide and film), but I rotate them out whenever I move depending on whatever can fit wherever.

In this apartment, I only had a narrow space for an end table so I found this little thing and my two Airequipt projectors happened to fit perfectly on the shelves.

I found the green one first and then the brown one later. The green is my favorite, but I figured I'd pick up the brown one so they wouldn't be lonely.

@TheBreadmonkey @futurebird @KevBot It's a "check protector" but it's too soon to confirm if it's not also an enigma machine. I’m going to continue trying different number combinations until I reach my goal.

I feel like maybe I shouldn't tell u this but have you seen old timestamp machines?

They will stamp ANYTHING and some have little customizable logo plates.

And they are made of the world's best green textured metal, why is nothing like that anymore?
