If you are a teacher in your 20s or early 30s and the words "class room management" make you wince... it gets easier.
Part of that is experience, but kids are just less annoying when you are in your 40s. Things that used to drive me nuts are now amusing and easily solved.
Getting old is awesome.

@futurebird But does the noise get harder to tolerate? I would struggle with a room full of vibrant kids. Or does that simple not happen when you have the necessary skills?

I have one strict rule. The only thing that I will yell at them about: "no singing, no weird noises"
I can't deal with it. It does not get easier. But know that that rule is my particular line has made everything great.
I think it's good to have a rule, one you are known for. Something reasonable, but negotiable. Middle school kids especially seem to *need* this oddly enough.

Middle school age kids know at some level they are annoying but they really don't know why or how to stop.
A simple rule can be a life line.
I do worry about kids who might make noise without knowing it. Possibly stemming or something, but I have not encountered that yet despite having had many autistic students (some of whom really like it when the room is free of pointless sounds...)
