A little excerpt from "the book"
Lucian walked along the long Avenue, looking at a New York City, that could’ve come out of a period movie. He touched his pocket, gently, a heavy, metal rectangular object rested there. A physical phone. With a feeling of wonder and amusement he drew it out and looked down at the flat dimensionless little screen. He hadn’t seen a physical phone since he was a child.

There was something more real, more human about scrolling with your fingers. There was something more grounded about having to *find* someone’s name and then tap on it to link to them- no not "link" to “call” them.
