Everyone does idolatry. That's kind of my second point. Or at least I think almost everyone will do something that *someone else* could call "idolatry" -- Though I think I can explain why it's not irrational.
At the same time, I thought that the unimportantance of particular material artifacts was part of the big point Jesus was making.
But I often badly misunderstand Bible stories. Or that is what I'm told.
