What a disaster!!! Giants lost to the #Atletics 2-11 yesterday!!!
️Verlander gave up 6 runs on 7 hits & 1 BB in just 3 innings after just 60 pitches thrown. Black gave up the other 5 runs on 5 hits (including 2 HRs) in 4 innings of relief based on 74 pitches thrown.
The A's starter, Sears, shut out & limited the Giants to only 3 hits in 6 innings. The Giants left 7 runners on base & were 0 for 11 with RISP. They also struck out 11 times. The only runs the Giants scored were 1 in the 8th & 1 in the 9th, when the A's had already scored 11 runs.
️️What's so frustrating is the inconsistency of this team.
One day they look like a REAL baseball team when they beat the #Dbacks 7-2 with good pitching & hitting & the next they lose to a mediocre team (based on their record) by 2-11 without good pitching or hitting.
