These things always have light isolation issues. It’s why the google glass failed and why Apple and Microsoft tried to do AR based on a VR headset instead of glasses like this.

171-inch doesn't make any sense in this context. We know it's 1080p, but what resolution ? In other words, how far does that supposedly "171 inch" TV sit from your face ?

They come with a thing you can put prescription lenses in, so maybe!

that kinda sounds like no then. usually being able to put in lenses suggests its not meant to be worn with glasses.

No, that's not why Google Glass failed. It would have failed even with a perfect display.

Say that second sentence again, but slowly.

I'm kind of interested depending on pricing. Using it as a monitor would be neat too

I'm on my third pair, the Viture pro, 120hz / 1080p oled and I think they're pretty neat. Particularly Viture's individual dials for your eyes if you're a little near sighted. Had the Xreal before, maybe they got better but after going and and getting the lense inserts adjusted to my prescription by an optometrist, (which took a couple weeks and cost an additional ~$100) they still were just a little off which sucks for text- the fuzzies manifest differently with minute differences in distance from your eyes, so they all kinda clamp on your head and it hurts before long without a hat or something to better distribute the pressure. Ymmv, I'd still recommend if you're at all a techie. No discernable pixels whatsoever and they've been easy enough to buy n sell used \^\_\^

"like sitting in front of a whopping 171-inch display from four meters away"

Right? 1080p is literally resolution of 1920x1080. Maybe they meant to say Dot Pitch?

I meant definition. Aka pixels per centimeter squared.
