If you're wondering on xAI's stance on this, aside from Elon posting a crying with laughing emoji, Grok's creators have raised a further $20bn from Cisco and such yesterday.

@GossiTheDog While I'm generally a fan of bashing Cisco for lots of things, let's remember that there are LOTS of tech companies happily selling the pieces that let Musk and xAI do this. I've yet to hear one of those CEOs state openly, "This is not how we want our products used, and we're suspending all shipments to xAI until they resolve this." Not one. It takes money to buy the tools, but ultimately it's the tools that enable the capability.

Bloomberg reports Twitter has now become the number one app for deepfake undressing of women by a sizeable amount. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2026-01-07/musk-s-grok-ai-generated-thousands-of-undressed-images-per-hour-on-x?accessToken=eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiIsInR5cCI6IkpXVCJ9.eyJzb3VyY2UiOiJTdWJzY3JpYmVyR2lmdGVkQXJ0aWNsZSIsImlhdCI6MTc2NzgyODQzMywiZXhwIjoxNzY4NDMzMjMzLCJhcnRpY2xlSWQiOiJUOEhRS0hLR0lGUE8wMCIsImJjb25uZWN0SWQiOiI0OEFDOEE5MkEwNTM0MkQ4OEIyRjkwQjhDMTgzMTdDMyJ9.PYX4upGg_MvIrbPiTpwANI8MCqfAJnZFxxFdD-e2OyQ

The UK PM has asked communication regulator for options around banning Twitter from operating in the UK, due to their refusal to deal with unconsensual undressing of women and girls. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2026/01/08/musks-x-could-be-banned-in-britain-over-ai-chatbot-row/

This is still happening btw, roughly one a second. People are doing it to female UK MPs and cabinet members, and getting Grok to CC with the images.

@GossiTheDog Fining on a per image basis is not possible?

When I see other artists still on X and Meta, I unfollow. And if they complain about AI and the horrors of it, I'm happy to point out they willingly support it.

If there was no audience for this, they (x and meta) would not be such abject piles of shit.

Turn it off right now, if the UK secret services can't immediately whack it they're not up to the task. I bet slow horses could do it.

Wired has a look at videos created on Grok. Includes knives being inserted into vaginas, “very young” people having sex. Around 10% are CSAM and still online. xAI declined to comment.

Grok Is Generating Sexual Content Far More Graphic Than What's on X

A WIRED review of outputs hosted on Grok’s official website shows it’s being used to create violent sexual images and videos, as well as content that includes apparent minors.

@GossiTheDog Maybe if someone created nudes of male leaders, with little tiny genitalia, there might be more effort made to stop this.

This is still happening btw, roughly one a second. People are doing it to female UK MPs and cabinet members, and getting Grok to CC with the images.

It looks like the threat of X being banned in the UK worked - Grok has been limited to paid users. Take your crying with laughter emojis and stick them up your arse, Elon. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c99kn52nx9do
