Mastodon is more like the coelacanth of social media sites than a mastodon.

People forget we are even around but we are durable we survive. We live in an ocean trench.

Though to be fair I don't understand how tumblr keeps going. It's mysterious. I'm very happy that it's there. There are some very fun playful communities of people who love insects there and I don't know where else they would go.

I even pay for tumblr... but lord knows not enough people are to keep it running.

Tumblr is home to some of the last innocent places on the internet. I have friends there who only care about bugs and they used to be at livejournal when it was safe in that way.

None of us ever understood the porn thing, it didn't impact us but we got mad on behalf of those who it did hurt.

@futurebird It was very annoying in the amphibian community because some toads have similar skin colors to humans and my toadposts kept getting removed with “warnings” about my adult content submissions.
