Meybe they might have a small team assigned for something like bugfixes, but I doubt EA will want to.waste any more money on the project. They're trying to recoup some of their development costs.

Im trying to figure out why make this free then.Because the publisher usually gets a lump sum payment to put their game on these kinds of subscription services. Some money back is better than no money back.
