We're probably never going to move. That's why I'm thinking of doing a renovation because we will be her for decades.
I do not care about "resale value" I do not care one bit.

@futurebird omg I tried one of those websites once and I figured there was some logic to doing it that way FOR THEM but I couldn't make any sense of it when every option results in a room that is completely white
This even though I did want to make the room white! I liked everything just fine! (The room remains orange and I'm also okay with that.)

@futurebird @catmisgivings I recall you mentoned modded minecraft and now backrooms, just FYI if you're not the person that linked it to me in the first place Liminal Industries is a very interesting modpack. It even has a trailer!

I've been playing this and it's *so* good. Granted, if you don't like modded minecraft skyblock/ATM/FTB type experiences it's not going to be for you. But if you like those, and always wanted... more atmosphere and a story this is incredible.
At first I thought they just dumped a bunch of mods into a model of the backrooms, but there is much more to it than that. You have to use all of the crazy mods and techs to make a portal to escape.

For a modpack it's more thoughtfully put together than some games. They also added a lot of new mechanics to make it all make a kind of sense in a very mad-libs way.
I think I might play it again since I'm almost done and I've never wanted to do that with any other modpack.

My only criticism is I feel like they almost made it too big. There are a lot of mods and they have it set up so you can't really skip anything in putting together your automation. (You must automate everything) this means they you will probably need to deal with some mod you like to avoid (for me that's any "magic" mod) But, this also makes it tempting to play again, find a better starting location, *optimize* if that gets you excited this is for you.

@kevingranade @futurebird @catmisgivings I've been playing liminal industries for a while with a friend!!! It's one of my favorite packs. I can maybe send some screenshots but we're a bit into chapter 4 now, just taking our time.

Did you have trouble with the Redstone Acid in the mixer? I made a filter, put it on a create pipe but I can't keep the thing working consistently. I tried the immersive engineering pipes but they were very confusing. The mixer is the big bottleneck in my operation. I found the best location for a base with an escalator to pump water for my first steam engine:
(it even has oil... both of the escalators I've found were near oil.)

@rose_amd64 @futurebird @catmisgivings that's about where I am, I just built a bigger stream engine and I'm working on some automation.
