If you weren't stuck in narratives from the early 2000s you might acknowledge that Microsoft has created a new business model that has allowed indie games to thrive with predictable income and gives them a big potential audience. Before Game Pass I'd never have played games like Unpacking or Moonglow Bay. I've played many indie games that I wouldn't have chosen to explicitly purchase, and I've passed up non-Game Pass AAA games that I might have otherwise bought only because they're familiar. With Netflix the subscription model has led to a dumbening of content, with games its gone in the other direction. Microsoft could have designed Game Pass as fewer, dumber games and it could quickly remove indie games that don't perform well right away. But it has innovated a new direction. And if it's too good to be true and can't last forever, at least I've gotten more than 5 years out of it already.

The fancier ones still can't handle the higher settings of most new poorly optimized games. Even mid-tier cards have a shockingly low amount of RAM for what you're paying.
