Outside work I see half a peanut seed slowly drifting across the sidewalk.
Look closer. It's being dragged by one determined ant.
Minute later, another ant makes a purposeful if meandering jog over and assists. Took a moment to negotiate who was pulling where.
Another minute, another ant. Going at a steady pace now.
Eventually, one last ant. Not sure they're helping at first: crawling all over, pushing here, poking there. Oh they're steering.
Ants are cool.

I don't always think "more ants" helps with the task in the ways we expect. It's more like when they reach an obstacle each ant will do a different thing and with more ants ONE of them is more likely to get it to work.
Also I think they just like to do things together even if it's less efficient.
