I don't know why we are all still so surprised when the fascist right turns on itself and starts shooting. It should have been apparent at the outset when they brought a guillotine to Jan 6 and roamed the halls with zipties chanting they wanted to "hang Mike Pence".

Internal violence is a key component of fascism. It is a circular firing squad. It cannot help but self-immolate.
