Some people say Trump sounded sick in the audio, but I found him as unpleasant and incoherent as I always do... which is to say "fine." (?)

@futurebird Someone late in their eighth decade who was in the ICU with COVID about five years ago who is today showing signs of cognitive decline is nigh-guaranteed to be experiencing very fast cognitive decline.
This hasn't soaked into the public consciousness yet, but the literature is not ambiguous. And since this value of "cognitive decline" is not too far off literal brain rot, well. Thereabouts of more merciful than rabies.

I do feel like there's this attitude in the United States that's like
"surely the magical ~*Medical Technology*~ of the vast and all-powerful Empire can keep Presidents alive no matter how sick or old they are! SURELY!"
Basically, if it were *anyone else* but the President of the United States, we'd all be pretty certain the dude is gonna cark it sooner rather than later. But for some reason, because he's POTUS, we just can't fathom it.

The wicked have a way of hanging on sometimes, perhaps they believe in hell and know that if anything awaits them after they die it won't ever be as good as being alive.
