I really loved the ambience of the Oldest House. Wonder if this is a genre shift from 3D Metroidvania to linear action game?

I guess we're DMC now. I loved Control and AW2, but the gameplay for both was so-so. Glad to see they're branching out.

Control was fun, but let's be real, it's Smack Enemy with Chair Simulator with a little bit of gunplay mixed in.

The first 30 minutes was one of the greatest world-building hooks ever made for a video game.

Thank you Remedy for not Epic-jailing this like with Alan Wake 2! That game is such a masterpiece that more people need to play 😭

I'm still patiently waiting for it to get released on Steam. All things land on Steam eventually.

It's not happening. Alan Wake 2 was not just a regular Epic exclusivity deal. Literally every other publisher refused to touch the franchise. Epic didn't just publish it, they fully funded its development. Given these circumstances, I can't imagine it ending up on Steam in the foreseeable future - if ever. If you can't allow yourself to hold your nose and make an Epic account just pirate it at this point. It's an absolutely phenomenal game and not worth missing out on over attempting to show Tim Sweeney the middle finger.

I love control's gameplay, (didn't like aw so skipped aw2 until my library has a free copy) I'm excited for everything about this. It is my favorite video game universe

If gameplay is your concern then AW2 is *miles* ahead of the first game. It's a very competent survival horror game in its own right, on top of all the Remedy stuff. If you didn't like the story then, well I dunno. It's not like it gets *less* convoluted.

Yeees. This section was just amazing. I've rarely felt as badass in a game as in the ashtray Labyrinth.

The first game was a fever dream in the best way possible. I'm quite hyped.

Ooo Remedy, you sly dogs. I was wondering when you were going to make that pay off.

                          > just pirate Second that. Also, I'm sure everyone at Remedy perfectly knew that there will be close to zero profit from sales on EGS. Things like that planned beforehand.
