I was so excited that high quality whipcream makers were suddenly popular. I love making fresh whipped cream.
But apparently it's a drug thing called "whippits"
@futurebird @msbellows Is this the nitrous oxide equivalent of those "spice grinders" that are actually for weed? Like, the thing was never actually intended to whip cream?

My whipped cream maker (bought nearly 30 years ago) does the job for both purposesMaybe they've gotten worse or more uni-purpose

@futurebird Ah, I see about the whippits. I had a college roommate whose favorite way to get high “for free” was to go to a big grocery and abuse the cans of whipped cream right there in the aisle until security escorted him out.

I mean I was dimly aware of the "whippits" thing but I really thought I was getting a "professional chef style" dispenser. It looks very professional, very sturdy and well crafted.
But... that's not what it was about at all.
