Zohran is expanding the number of public toilets in NYC and improving how the existing ones are cleaned and maintained.

If this is a big enough initiative it will have a huge impact on quality of life for new yorkers. I don't know if it is big enough. Nonetheless *this* is the way to address the things that make people feel like the city is a dump. It's also just... civilized. IDK. How do you call it a city and you have no bathrooms?

    Anyway welcome to communism.

@futurebird man Boston could learn from this. I can’t recommend anyone visit these days unless I’m able to show them around. City government has essentially allowed our public bathrooms be hidden from view, so visitors won’t know they exist

@LappenjammerDieZweite @futurebird Also the option available to cis males comes with the risk of arrest.

I guess it does in the US. Over here you might get a small fine but not more.

@LappenjammerDieZweite @futurebird Here it depends on where. In the woods it is fair game, but in a city someone could be accused of indecent exposure or similar.

@futurebird@sauropods.win It'd be quite nice to have working toilets instead of needing to find a Starbucks (which is the only good use for a Starbucks, if you ask me).
