I really couldn't give a fuck about playing oblivion, everyone has been forced fed Skyrim so many times now that they are willing to consume anything now. Enjoy playing remakes for the next decade probably on a subscription based model too.

Am I wrong in thinking that the creative lead for the Oblivion Remaster might not actually be able to speak for Bethesda as a whole?

Why not? He's the development lead at Bethesda Game Studios who has worked there for 20 years.

Bethesda haters will see this and *still* say Bethesda purposely sabotages modders and other developers.

Bethesda gave the Skyblivion team free Steam keys for the Remastered version. While I agree that we should apply skepticism, actions seem to demonstrate that Bethesda itself is cool with them, so I think it's probably appropriate for any one team member to speak on their behalf as a whole in this regard.

It's wild to me how everyone has the attention span of a goldfish. Everyone hates Nintendo and Bethesda and whoever else until they flash some shiny object in front of their eyes and they forget everything.

Bethesda, makers of Fallout 76, may be interested because to use that mod you've to own both Oblivion and Skyrim, making Skyblivion a great scheme to sell you two more games.

I have no room to talk. My dumb ass bought both titles at least 3 times over, sooo I’ve given Bethesda/ZeniMax some bidness. I’m the problem.

While you are absolutely correct in your skepticism, id like to add that multiple facets of Bethesda have both implicitly and explicitly either condoned or outright celebrated what the team is doing. This project seems to not only just be on Bethesda's radar, but they view as a good thing.
