Does your neighborhood/town have a "silly street"? that is if something strange, exuberant, or baffling happens it's always there? People say "Why is it always --- street?"
Walton Avenue is ours:
* People will close this street with chairs for block parties all the time, or for basketball games
* There are shoes on every lamp post
* If you see more that two people on a bike it's on Walton
* One way street... but sometimes golf carts?
* There was a goat living in the park for three weeks -

He was pelted with HIS OWN avocados which is just disrespectful.

The epicentre for student misbehaviour in my city is one street in the "university district", Aberdeen St. It's one block long, and it's where the riots used to start every alcohol holiday (Homecoming, St Paddy's Day, May 24, etc). They don't usually rise to the level of full-on riots these days, but it's where the Nuisance Party bylaw and the mobile alcohol poisoning wards get a workout. -

I think it's just that it's not a through street and a lot of families with even more kids live there.
And the "block party on walton" is a tradition that goes back to the 70s
More sesame street than animal house... but maybe a little of both.

... there was a video and it's kind of funny... although I've been told it's not polite to laugh because the deli owner got a nasty bruise.
The media made a big deal about it... and yes we do have more horrible crime like any big city, but this was bigger news.

In my head , I'm seeing the perpetrators test squeeze each avocado before picking it up , passing over the ripe ones , to make sure it'll do damage. -
