When writing about various spiders, beetles and other arthropods that mimic ants there is this subtext "of course you'd pretend to be an ant, no one wants to mess with, eat, or get involved with them."

When writing about the various spiders, beetles and other arthropods that mimic ants, there is this subtext: "of course you'd pretend to be an ant, no one wants to mess with, eat, or get involved with them."
Sometimes it feels a little mean, but, if you think about it, all of the ant mimics just *prove* how amazing ants are.
Everyone wants to be an ant.
