    I don't have strong feelings about it. Of all of the things I dislike about the first photo the sign is at the bottom of the list. It's funny. It's the only memorable thing.

    What is going on in the suburbs that these signs are needed?

      I think if you like these signs you should get more of them. Lean into it. Organize the world.

          @futurebird I've got a label printer round here somewhere, I'm sure.

            @futurebird First I'll split functional from purely aesthetic signs. Aesthetic, I don't judge other people's taste, just whether I agree with it. Functional, well, I'd label a whole lot more of what's in the fridge than my wife puts up with, because I don't like wasting time looking at multiple opaque containers to find the thing I want.
            (I do quite fancy one of those plaques reading "In this house we believe… this is not a place of honor. No highly esteemed deed is commemorated here." etc.)

                @RogerBW @futurebird I refer you to this poem (it's just the first couple of minutes of a ten minute set. And yes, that is the back of my head): https://youtu.be/BDrxZMMl-ow

                  @darkling

                  I keep my label printer at work and it's how I manage my aggressive impulses. eg from people taking my very nice office supplies. I will label a *dry marker* (mine are refillable and someone was "borrowing" them then tossing them out! )
