I’m still primarily using a Mac, but I have this ancient Windows laptop, so a friend talked me into this

In 2007, I think most Linux distributions still didn't ship with drivers for internet hardware. You either needed to know what you needed in advance, or have two computers. I went through this song and dance several times over the 00s, before giving up. It was only this past year I tried again, and things worked well enough to make it stick.
