Jim Bunning was a very fine pitcher and a pretty meh Republican US Senator from Kentucky, but the closest I've ever come to feeling bipartisan is watching him rail against overly long congressional hearings and late night votes that forced him to miss tipoff for UK Wildcats basketball. Wouldn't we all rather be watching sports?
