    I'm so happy with my newest nail art.

    The top layer is a temperature-sensitive color changing gel that's purple when my fingers are cold and red when they're warm, with a bit of glitter for good measure. Below that is two layers of white cat-eye or magnetic nail polish, oriented in cross directions, so there's a shimmer that depends on what angle you look at it, with some depth. There's one more layer on the bottom of a translucent red jelly to add depth and subtly enhance the top colors.

    For this photo, I washed one hand in hot water and the other in cold water to show off the effect.

    Between the changing colors and the cat-eye effect, these nails look different every time I look at them, and I love it.

      @jamey

      I like it. Mixing magnetic and color changing is genius.

      I've been into "nude" nail polish colors recently. Basically you get a polish that matches your skin tone. Which sounds kind of strange but the look is really elegant.

        @jamey

        I used to not bother with polish because I HATE having chipped polish and if you have your nails done you always run that risk.

        But then I discovered those polish remover wipes, which I stash at work, in my bag etc. so I can clear it off if it gets chipped.

        This is making me want to do my nails today.
