What have you got against chicken?

Edit: auto correct wanted to change chicken to children.

I mean, what have you got against the *other* white meat?

OK it is very simple and logical.

New year's day sets the tone for the whole year, so what you do on the first day of the year will have a big impact. OK?

Chickens scratch with their talons at the earth. Chickens are always scratching around.

You know who else scratches around? People who are broke. Always trying to scratch up cash.

So obviously if you eat some chicken you will become more like a chicken (duh) you will have bad financial luck all year.

        Perfectly logical.

The pork is also simple. I didn't have enough poll options but you need to have pork that comes from a place "high on the hog" because "living high on the hog" means you are rich.

Not only that, but chickens eat worms, and you are what you eat. Who wants a diet of worms?

                    Then you are doomed obviously.

(no really, these things are deeply silly and just excuses to run around doing things on Jan. 1)
