The #BBC has apparently gone paid subscription only for its news app and that’s a damn shame. Shouldn’t I be grandfathered in for all the VAT I paid as a student from 2000-02? I’ll get by on The Economist, The Atlantic and free NYT access through my uni, I suppose.

@sendtherunners I’m not seeing that. Maybe it doesn’t apply to BBC America, or whatever it’s called.

@dtm I’d been seeing the ads encouraging readers to sign up for an account for days and just ignored them, but as of this morning it’s all blacked out.
