May I be the doctor and the medicine
And may I be the nurse
For all sick beings in the world
Til everyone is healed.May a rain of food and drink descend
To clear away the pain of thirst and hunger And during the aeons of famine May I myself change into food and drink.Just like space And the great elements such as earth, May I always support the life Of all the boundless creatures.

(The theory of mouth and bodhisattva)I was hungry and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me drink,
I was a stranger and you welcomed me,
I was naked and you covered me,
I was sick and you visited me,
I was in prison and you came to me.

@futurebird Wow! How did I miss this work? Listening now to that movement. Iβll have to go back and listen to the whole thing,

I'm very normal about this part where the youth/soprano? part comes in. It's so simple but perfect as more and more voices join.

FYI if you can go to LA they have Akhenaten out there until March 22
(I feel like Akhenaten gets done way more than all of the other Operas, I like it but I want to see some of the other ones...)

This makes it sound like the long dead king is on tour. But I can live with that.
I think he might have done that. The weirdo.
