Cowboy boots with an "ant and aphids" motif seem like an obvious and popular idea for a style.

I am naturally shocked, these do not already exist, but I'm adding them to the list of things offered by my imaginary ant-themed fashion brand called "Ants Only." Right after the "pheromone themed perfume"

Did you know that notion that every single Scottish clan has it's own particular tartan design dating back to the 16th century was mostly a notion made up in the 1900s ... including these books that would tell you, if you had a Scottish last name, which one was yours? All made up!
Anyway fashion is something you invent. So I'm inventing Ant-Themed fashion.
eg. the well-loved "Ants and Aphids" cowboy boot motif and no one can stop me.
And why not a tartan for every ant species?

@futurebird I suspect there are fewer possible distinguishable tartans than there are ant species.

@futurebird Human cowboy boots don’t typically depict people and cows or sheep, so the model is off. But what is the ant equivalent of an ostrich or python? Perhaps they make cowboy boots out of dwarf centipede hide?

There are motifs that show bulls, snakes, cattails, flowers etc.

@futurebird how would ants wear their pants?

@futurebird how would ants wear their pants?
Ants don't bother with pants, they prefer vests and little hats.

We only need like. 30k to get started with another 40k in reserve for future discoveries...
Maybe we should go by genus...

@futurebird Fair, so what is the ant equivalent of snakes and flowers? I.e. “regional exotic threat creature” and “beautiful good-smelling environment”?

Treehoppers and spiders?

@futurebird As I consider it though, the way a stylized longhorn steer skull is a classic motif, you could easily stylize an aphid head, and it would look badass:

@futurebird "Buy the new LAU tartan, the only six-hand woven mycelium, our sustainable brand made by Leafcutter Ants United! Whether you're sitting in your anthill salon* drinking peat-smoked whisky or going to the reception at Termite Castle, you'll always be dressed for the occasion!"
*We need ant design and ant houses as well!
